Rod Elements
Among the extensive range of products that the team at Hedin Heaters supplies to our customers, rod elements are among the most versatile. Rod elements (also known as Tubular heating elements or Sheathwire heating element) are commonly used for a variety of applications, including within immersion heaters, air heating, infrared, circulation ovens, kitchen elements and much more.
Available in a wide range of shapes and sizes, we can tailor the rod heaters directly to the specifications you require. However, if you just require a standardised product, our regular diameters are:
- 6.35mm – (¼”)
- 8mm – (5/16”)
- 9.5mm – (3/8”)
- 11mm – (7/16”)
- 12.7mm – (½”)
- 15.87mm – (5/8”)
We can produce elements up to a maximum length of 8,600mm.
We can make the elements from the following materials incoloy 800, incoloy 825, stainless steel 304, 316, and 321, copper and titanium.
Terminations can be threaded terminals, fibreglass leads, tags or vulcanised leads.
The heaters can also be supplied with fins for improved heat distribution and with various mounting options.
Our rod elements can achieve a maximum temperature of 750°C.
