About Us

Across three generations of the Hedin family, Hedin Heaters has spent more than 80 years manufacturing leading heating elements and components for delivery across the country.

We have a rich history, with the origins of our business beginning in the early 1900s. Kaleb Hedin came to the UK from Sweden at the start of the century, starting his own business in 1935 manufacturing and selling cartridge heaters for chicken pens. It was a huge success and we still specialise in these heaters to this day.

In 1945, his sons, Carl and Freddy, took over the business and moved it to the next level. This included employing over 120 people and expanding the product range to feature a vast array of heating elements and process heaters.

Fast forward to 1994, and Kaleb’s grandson Richard took over the business – making him the third generation of Hedin to head up the company and changed it’s named to Richard Hedin Ltd.

In 2020, the business moved to its current home in West London where it became Hedin Heaters as it’s known today.
